dcterms.abstractSydney Musgrove was also an active poet with a strong presence in this social milieu. This is the first page from a poem: 'The frying of the lady' he wrote about the production of {{The lady's not for burning}}. The poem appears to be for a post-performance social gathering, of his own role of producer and director Musgrove wrote: "This was charming no doubt:but they shorley found out/ The producer they trusted so fair/had only one way of producing a play/and that was to tear out his hair."en
