dcterms.abstractThis staging notebook from the 1954 production of William Congreve's {{Love for love}} has loose staging diagrams that can be compared to the stage directions in the image shown. The notebook also contains a letter that secured permission for Musgrove to include the poem 'Love for love' by John Carson Parker in the production. This poem was used in Bernard Beeby's earlier radio production of {{Love for Love}}. Beeby a key figure in New Zealand radio history was responsible for the radio broadcast of plays by professional players. His appointment in 1938 had put an end to a ten year tradition of amateur co-ordination of these broadcasts.en
