dcterms.abstractThe design elements in this programme-cum-poster for the University Theatre Workshop's performance of {{A midsummer night's dream}} reveals Sydney Musgrove's desire for productions to evoke something of the era from which they came. This programme's cover image is remiscient of Elizabethan woodcuts, where there was minimal focus on perspective, figures were fairly stylized and stiff, but detail was rich. The image seen here was also used by Elam student, Russell Craig for the limited edition handprinted lino-cut posters used to promote the play.en
