dc.description.abstract"Leo Bensemann (1912-86) was one of the most most versatile and accomplished artists of his generation, admired for his drawings, paintings, wood-engravings, illustrations, topography and book designs and his work with Christchurch's Caxton Press and The Group. He is now the focus of a major survey exhibition at the Christchurch Art Gallery.
