dc.description.abstractRobert Leonard offers a critical response to the collecting and curatorial motivations of the Queensland Art Gallery in relation to 'Unnerved: The New Zealand Project' at the Gallery of Modern Art (Brisbane). He questions the premise of the exhibition to maintain the notion of a 'New Zealand Gothic' and offers his opinion on the strengths and failings of this particular theme.-
