Title: | Works for Me : A conversation with Philop Trusttum |
Publisher: | INZART/The University of Auckland Library=Te Tumu Herenga |
Abstract: | "I took an early morning flight from Auckland to Christchurch and had scrambled eggs for breakfast with Philip Trusttum and his wife Lee. Due to the earthquake, and the destruction of their house, they live in the building that used to be primarily Trusttum's studio, near the centre of Christchurch. We spent some time in the now-reduced studio space, amongst paintings from different stages of his career, rolled, stacked and strewn about. Most of our conversation, though, tool place in the living room, the enormous grinning figure of a rugby player looming over us." |
