dc.description2 b/w: includes a portrait of Steinert-
dc.description1 colour-
dc.description.abstract'Vida Steinert has developed as one of John Weeks's most inspired pupils. Her colour is sophisticated and true to the northern landscape and its more sulky moods. A poultry farm outside Auckland absorbs much of Mrs. Steinert's energy, and she exhibits only with the Rutland Group and the Auckland Society of Arts. This is a pity for the Academy lacks good colourists, and her work should be better known in the south.'-
