dc.description | 4 colour including portrait: Grayson as Claire. | - |
dc.description.abstract | "In December last year British artist Grayson Perry presented his first major survey at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney. Curated by the MCA's Chief Curator Rachel Kent, it demonstrates Perry's outrageous humour flamboyant aesthetics and forensic investigations of British taste, class and manners - all of which have made him one of Britain's best know artists. Perry, whose alter ego Claire has a collection of frocks that are the envy of many, has presented two series with BBC's Channel 4: In the Best Possible Taste - Grayson Perry (2012) and Grayson Perry: Who Are You? (2014). He won the Turner Prize in 2003, and delivered The Reith Lectures to critical acclaim in 2013 - the first contemporary artist to be invited to take part in this talk series by leading international thinkers." | - |
