Growing Gardens : Sculpture at the Auckland Botanic Gardens

Abstract

"In Auckland over the past two decades, exhibitions showcasing large-scale outdoor sculpture have become part of our annual calendar. 'Sculpture in the Gardens' is one such event. This-free-to-the-public, three-to-four-month-long exhibition has been held at the Auckland Botanic Gardens in Manurewa every second summer since November 2007 and has become a principle feature in the Gardens' programme. The biennial show, with its aim of reaching the widest possible cross-section of the community, has come to be regarded as the Gardens' signature event."
