dc.description.abstractObituary for Marti Friedlander. Born Martha Gordon on 19 February 1928 in Bethnal Green, London, Friedlander later moved to New Zealand with husband, Gerrard Friedlander. Her photography career spanning 50 years saw her become a national treasure and included her now iconic portraits of kuia, taken in the 1970s while travelling with Michael King.-
