Abstract:	Ross Hemera's Waitaha ancestors had an old saying: 'In the silence of the rocks the spirit of the old inhabitants is still alive.' Hemer's work manifests something of that spirit. Includes references to two exhibtions; a solo exhibition of sculptures and; an exhibition of work by Kai Tahu artists opening in Te Papa.
