Abstract: In September of this year the official openign of the newly completed Masterton Arts Centre is to take place. The centre, already open to the public, will be opened for a total cost of $42,000 debt free - no mean achievement for a country area which, as have all country areas, felt the tight purse strings of the recent economic recession. Funds have come from bequests and generous grants from the Trust Lands Trust.
