Abstract: The Carr Agricultural Group dated from the late 1970s, when Greg and Glenys Carr began farming and haymaking in Tinwald, Ashburton. Throughout the 1980s their farming interests expanded to sheep, beef, deer and crops and in 1991 Greg Carr established a farm machinery service and repair business AgriFarm. In 1996 Greg bought the Landpower Ashburton franchise, selling high quality farm machinery and equipment, and in 2004 purchased Landpower Timaru. In 1996 Carr Agricultural Group purchased a seed tolling operation and moved into the international seed industry
