Abstract: Michael Manikas, Process Improvement and National Purchasing Manager of Boise New Zealand (Boise NZ), an office products supplier, reflected on the developments over the last few months with Andy Burford, E-commerce manager of Boise NZ. While online sales accounted for only about 15 percent of Boise NZ’s business, the percentage was increasing by roughly one percentage point every two months. Activity was clearly ramping up, and Manikas and Burford wanted to be prepared. They were presently pondering over the proposed integration efforts with 3M, one of Boise’s largest suppliers and needed to prepare a response for the upcoming meeting with Jim Nicoll, Group General Manager (GGM) of Supply Chain Services & IT (SCS&IT) at 3M New Zealand (3M NZ)
