Issue Date: 25-Jan-2013
Abstract: One of the major findings is the extent to which these businesses rely on the Chinese community. The research shows that Chinese business owners depend extensively on other Chinese for employees, suppliers and customers. Chinese businesses have extensive networks and contact with Chinese communities internationally making regular personal visits to maintain their relationships. English language difficulties are a common cause of frustration. This echoes the findings of other research, which highlights the importance of English language in doing business in New Zealand
