dc.description.abstractFollowing studies at the University of Auckland, majoring in Art History and French, Jennifer Flay enrolled in a doctorate at the University of Nice. Having worked at several significant galleries Flay opened her own gallery in 1991 on Rue Debelleyme in the Marais, representing international artists including Willie Doherty. It was here that she curated an important group show 'Just what is it that makes today's home so different, so appealing? (1993). In 2003, Flay was approached to take over as the artistic director of the FIAC, and in 2010 took over as director. Under Flay's directorship the FIAC underwent a revitalisation as she transformed and expanded the fair.-
