Abstract: | The exhibition '1. Here's a plan (Things to Do)' is the result of Christina Read's year long residency as recipient of the Olivia Spencer Bower Foundation award. In the essay Simon Palenski recalls his visit to the artist's studio and conversations around George Perec, his love of jigsaw puzzles, and his most well-know work, the novel 'Life: A User's Manual'. The exhibition features texts and objects including hand-stitched quilts. |
