Abstract: In August 1987, John Gow and Gary Langsford opened their eponymous gallery in Grey Lynn, Auckland. This article reflects on the past three decades of operation, exhibition highlights and discusses the aims of the gallery to contextualise contemporary New Zealand art with international art.
