Recounts the purchase of a Gottfried Lindauer painting by the Alexander Turbull Library in 2013, which was later revealed to be a forgery. Discusses the New Zealand government's reparation programme launched in 1990 to see taonga in overseas collections returned to Aotearoa. Explains the establishment of the New Zealand Art Crime Research Trust and the annual Art Crime Symposium hosted by the organisation.-
