Abstract

Profiles New Zealand contemporary photographer, Anne Noble. Describes Noble's process of working slowly on projects over long periods of time. Speaks to work from the 'Dead Bee Portrait' series (2015/2016), and the presentation of her work by Two Rooms at Sydney Contemporary 2017. Discusses the process of 'photographing' the bees using a re-purposed electron microscope. Examines the 'Piss Poles' sequence (2008) produced as part of the 'Antarctica' series. Reflects on Noble's education at Elam School of Fine Arts and as a Fullbright Senior Scholar at Chicago's Columbia College.
