Abstract: "'Disenchanted Prophets Matakite Matekiri – Photography as Living Protest' explores the visual aspects of New Zealand's Waitangi Treaty protests. Photographic artists Mark Adams, Bruce Connew, Gil Hanly, John Miller, and Ans Westra, whose works appear in the exhibit, provide not only historical documentation of the protests over the years, but also a visual context to a political movement which led to the Treaty of Waitangi Act, and the eventual realization of the Treaty of Waitangi Tribunal."
