Abstract: A conversation with Auckland artist Johl Dwyer discussing new sculptural works in the solo show 'The Caerulean Blue Room' at Time Melville Gallery. Considers the artist's experimental use of materials, oxidising and painting techniques and his varied process in the creation of his new sculptural works. Reflects on Dwyer's use of industrial processes and the role of chance and indeterminacy. Mentions his work 'Journey to the Garden' (2017) exhibited at The Suter Art Gallery in Nelson.
