Abstract:	Shingade reflects on the history of musical art-group From Scratch, in light of their exhibition '546 Moons' at Te Uru, after a 16-year hiatus. Discusses core member Phil Dadson and rotating members including Cornelius Cardew and Don McGlashan. Author writes: "They performed rhythmically complex compositions on distinctive handcrafted instruments and released multiple vinyl records on post-punk labels - a New Zealand example of the avant-garde and Fluxus movements of the late 20th century."
