Abstract: | Hanton reflects on initiating 'Hamster' during the writing workshop 'Seen and Heard: Public Displays and Public Discourses' held at The Physics Room. Discusses the reduction of information into "bite-sized pieces" by mainstream media visual arts coverage. Using this as a point of departure, Hanton describes how participants posed questions "regarding the value and role of arts coverage in non-specialist media in relation to more specialised formats." |
