Editorial discusses difficulty persuading politicians and educational institutes of the value of art in light of protests against the proposed closure of the Elam School of Fine Arts Library. Considers the organisers of the rally's objection to the proposed loss of a community space that is vital to the arts community, as well as loss of specialist librarians and their knowledge of one of the largest dedicated fine arts library in the southern hemisphere.-
