Abstract: Article discusses the photography practice of Conor Clarke, described as a visual exploration of nature and industry. Reflects on Clarke's interest in our relationship with nature as we present it through pictures, and art-historical concepts of the landscape genre. Highlights various works from the period 2012-2014, and discusses recent project 'Ground Water Mirror' developed during a residency at Tylee Cottage in Whanganui. Discusses the project's concern with New Zealand waterways and the Whanganui River in particular.
