Abstract:	Article speaks to John Reynolds' new works in exhibition 'FrenchBayDarkly...' (2017) at Starkwhite gallery. Includes discussion of the exhibition's six paintings, all which "nod to" celebrated artist Colin McCahon. Highlights Reynolds' inclusion in part of a generation, alongside the likes of Judy Millar and the late Julian Dashper, who were the first to really grapple with McCahon's legacy. Reynolds, in particular, has taken on the master many times."
