dc.description.abstractArticle reflects on the practice of artist Séraphine Pick in relation to paintings by the artist to be auctioned at Bowerbank Ninow. Describes her practice as bringing fables and folktales into the language of contemporary painting. Range of discussion includes Pick's early works from the mid-1990 period through to a survey exhibition in 2009 at the Christchurch Art Gallery. Contains a quotation from Felicity Milburn discussing the artist's work.-
