Abstract: Review of photographer Ngahuia Harrison's light-box series 'Ngā Paepae Tapu' which formed part of the exhibition 'The Earth Looks Upon Us/Ko Papatūānuku te Matua o te Tangata' (2018) at Adam Art Gallery. Discusses the works 'Aunty Reo' and 'Aunty Mihi' (2018) and contains biographical information about the artist including her presentation at the 2015 Indigenous Photographic Histories symposium and 2017 TEDx Talk. Mentions the work's relationship to other works in the exhibition by Ana Iti and Nova Paul.
