Abstract:	The case study focuses on the relationship between Dunedin and Natural History New Zealand (NHNZ) and the company's proximity to Antarctica and remote parts of New Zealand. After TVNZ was made a State Owned Enterprise the commercial viability of NHNZ was questioned and it was eventually sold to Fox Corporation. Since then NHNZ has continued to produce award winning documentaries for international television whilst remaining based in Dunedin
