Title: | Fonterra's international strategy : developing strategy in New Zealand's largest business |
Authors: | University of Canterbury |
Issue Date: | 19-Dec-2013 |
Abstract: | This case study is about developing an international strategy to achieve ambitious growth objectives. The case follows chronologically from 'Creating Fonterra: Establishing New Zealand's Largest Business' (304-465-1) and is set at the time Andrew Ferrier took up the post of CEO (Chief Executive Officer). It begins with a profile of Fonterra's products and the opportunities and risks in various international markets. The challenge to students is to evaluate the early strategy of the new business and to generate a strategy that they can justify as the most likely to satisfy the growth objectives.
