dc.description.abstract | Pultron Composites Limited is a privately owned, family run manufacturing company which has developed pultrusion technology for a variety of purposes: agriculture, marine, construction, defence, amongst many other. Approximately 15% of local and international sales still comes from fence posts, but Pultron has moved into new product markets, such as tool handles, ladder rails, tent poles, etc. Capacity for innovation is found in Pultron's emphasis on Research & Design and encouraging input from the engineers and materials scientists on staff. Peter and Bronwen Holdsworth, owners of Pultron Composites, see their role as fostering innovation and working to each others strengths and weaknesses. An ethos that is being passed to the next generation, as well as to current employees | en |
