Title: | Displaying our dreams: Te Papa's 'Dream Collectors' |
Publisher: | INZART/The University of Auckland Library=Te Tumu Herenga |
Abstract: | "Dreams are such stuff that lives are made of - those of counties and of peoples - at least, according to Te Papa's opening and touring exhibition, 'Dream Collectors: 100 Years of Art in New Zealand'. Developed in partnership with Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tamaki, 'Dream Collectors' sought to celebrate the richness and complexity of art in New Zealand by focusing on artists and collectors whose dreams (read art) have shaped our national culture. Neither the traditional survey nor a conventional display of art treasures, it was closer to an anthology of 120 or more artworks compiled around themes from New Zealand's private and public histories." |
Description: | 5 b/w 2 colour. Includes exhibition display. |
