Abstract

This case presents a historic timeline and reiterates the events which led to the establishment of Fisher and Paykel Healthcare as an independent company manufacturing respiratory humidifiers. This case is appropriate for considering a number of paradoxical situations that a company might have to confront in order to grow and be a global leader. Includes questions for discussion.
