Abstract: Tecpak Industries is a small New Zealand manufacturing firm in Dunedin, making plastic containers for the food industry. The two owners were interested in making use of Deming's quality management philosophy to improve effectiveness of operating practices. They also wanted to improve external relationships, human resources and organisation culture. The book uses Tecpak Industries as an example throughout especially on pages 1 - 10, 250, 294 and 326.
