dc.description.abstractReviews an exhibition of photographic work by Laurence Aberhart at Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwetu entitled 'Aberhart Starts Here', 15 September to 5 February 2018. Describes the content of the exhibition, curated by Lara Strongman, which focuses on the years 1975-83 when the artist was living in and around Christchurch. Speaks to Aberhart's use of colour film and experimentation visible in the works. Describes both the technical and formal components of the photographs and the documentary nature of the work capturing Canterbury architecture now lost since the earthquake.-
