Issue Date: 18-Dec-2013
Abstract: Macpac was originally founded by Bruce McIntyre in 1973 to make packs for climbers. Changes in production processes also required a change in human resource management to mitigate declining morale. It was found that creating specialist teams and a new ASPIRE (Aspirations, Strategies, Participation, Improvement, Reward and Environment) programme for appraising performance and rewarding staff increased productivity and morale
